Love and Community

Love and Community | 2016 | acrylic on cinder block | 15’ x 25’ | Casa De Luz | Las Vegas, Nevada

The Love and Community mural is located in the Gateway District of Las Vegas which was once called Naked City. Residents of all ages met for an entire week to discuss, develop, and design a composition that reflects the heart of their historic neighborhood. All agreed that the mural should have an inspirational theme inspired by love, community, hope, and belonging.

Casa de Luz, a nonprofit faith-based community resource center, became the major supporter of Love and Community. Lastly, thank you to the Nevada Arts Council for a grant to help support Love and Community.
