Shadow Words

Shadow Words | 2017 | Vinyl prints affixed to interior windows | Benson Middle School

Vinyl words were applied (in reverse) to a set of windows along the hallways of Benson Middle School. Once sunlight would shine through the windows, the vinyl words would reflect right side up on the floor for viewers to read. As the sun would shift throughout the day, the words would also shift as well; becoming more italicized and stretched similar to a sun dial.

Thank you to an Arts in Education Grant from the North Carolina Arts Commission. Lastly, thanks to art teacher Magen Hill Pike for her support; her students; and staff at Benson Middle School in Benson, North Carolina.
