The NEW Old™ Artist Collective once again organized another pop-up art show titled, “Being Here.” The pop-up was an immersive, multi-site experience exploring presence, place, and creative identity. The pop-up was an invitational to The NEW Old Artist Collective members not only to exhibit but to sell their art with 100% of the proceeds going to the artists. Being Here Pop-Up Art Show was across three neighboring venues in downtown Sisseton: Christopherson Corner, The Soirée 417, and Veterans Memorial Park on Veterans Avenue. Each of the sites exhibited a range of artistic works from paintings, mixed media, traditional blankets, garments, jewelry, poetry/spoken word, digital projection, musical performances, and a fashion show.
The NEW Old is a collaboration with the Sisseton Arts Council, Sisseton Chamber & Promotion Board, and the South Dakota Arts Council.
